43 Junction Rd whats happening?

The St Marys Cement plant on Junction Rd has a number of earth moving machines working at the site  now. In addition there is a now a construction office trailer on site.

The blog was unable to speak to anyone on site yesterday…wanted too because it’s an interesting development on an area of the site that has simply been a trailer lot for so many years.

  1. S.M. says:

The trailers and equipment belong to the shoring and excavating contractors for the West Diamond Project

  2. junctioneer says:

Thanks for the info, we had a lot of wonderment about the equipment

  3. A.R. says:

This is a moderate sized industrial lot which is begging to be better utilized for offices, factories or perhaps even a future DRL subway yard.

  4. North Junction Resident says:

It would make a great "junction" DRL station, surrounded by green space.

  5. Incredibledad says:

The land was owned by cp rail at that time St Mary cement was only leasing part of it

  6. A.R. says:

Now Lafarge uses the property, but are you sure Canadian Pacific no longer owns it? Since Lafarge has similar operations to St. Mary's one could assume that CP simply found a new company for their property.
