I have to disagree with the Junctioneer on that one. I thought Sarah was quite suportive on expanding the bike network. She said she would like to see a city wide system, so lanes don't start and end ward to ward. I think that is the most important issue for bike saftey. I have to say, she won my vote.

Some candidates like Nick Pavlov fail to realize that bicycles are some of the best vehicles on city streets, emitting no pollution, no noise, using very little space for parking, and keeping users healthy.

Everyone should embrace bike lanes. I'm sure accidents will be down on streets with bike lanes. It's just a matter of time before people realize that and start to think about how their insurance premiums should be adjusted to reflect the higher quality infrastructure.

Also, streets are for communities, for festivals and events. Streets are for transportation most of the time, but there's a bit more to it than that. There's a cultural side to streets which just makes the city a lot better.

You have to remember that this blog is heavy supporter of Saundercook which they've openly admitted so expect the occasional undercover jab at other candidates.

That's the undercover poke right there. If you were not sure of her stance then why say she was not supportive? It's fine though. I'm not saying there is anything wrong with your words. I'm just pointing out that your writing is going to favor Saundercook which you've just proved above.
