Parkdale Village Community Open House on Saturday, June 2nd. The event is from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Parkdale Amphitheatre on the corner of Queen St. W. at Dufferin. Come rain or shine!
The Open House offers the chance to meet a wide variety of Parkdale community organizations in one place. Twenty-eight groups will be on hand to provide information and answer questions.
You can talk to Parkdale’s two police Divisions; the BIA; PARC; the Parkdale Residents Association; the staff of Parkdale’s Councillor, MPP, and MP; and many more.
There will be five food booths from the Sorauren Farmer’s Market and the West End Food Co-op. Local musicians will be entertaining. You can visit the new West End Food Coop across the street.
A “Parkdale Village Historical Walk,” focusing on Queen Street and the surrounding neighbourhood, will start at the Amphitheatre at 11 a.m. and return there by noon, in time for the Open House. The walk will be led by historian Roger Riendeau.
Please invite your friends and neighbours to the Parkdale Village Community Open House. All the information you need is here, including the Facebook Event Page and the list of the groups taking part. There is a poster you can print and distribute a few copies of, if you wish.
Please drop in on June 2nd.
