A city contractor has just been a spraying yellow lines at the Vine Avenue and McMurray Avenue “T”.
 
 In the process they left a couple huge patches of the glass beads they put in the paint – to enhance the reflective nature of the lines.
 
 Right now you can skate, slide, run and glide I in the beads.
 
 

 The beads appears similar to a 1st frost above.
 

The rain is not supposed to come down again til after 10pm.
 
 

Up til the early 90’s a drugstore occupied this retail location. But up til the late 70’s or early 80’s a taxi stand office occupied this small office on the side of the building. The building which is a restaurant now is undergoing facade renewal renovation wow! Hope the taxi door stays.

The Runnymede Rd and Dundas St intersection is one of the two epic intersections in the Junction for being the entry ways to the Junction railway and meat packing district. The over intersection being St Clair Ave, and Keele St.

A car has hit a pole at Keele St. and Dundas this morning and in turn the pole has hit the scaffolding on the Campbell building.
 
 The fire services are currently making the scaffold scaffold safe.

Barbershop opening at 2877 Dundas W. near the end of the mth.
 
 

A new very much needed barbershop is moving into the store front most recently used as the “Tea Blendz” skip.
 
 
 Opening “near September 26th”.
 
 Great to see this opening. This end of the of the strip was once the home for many barbershops in the Junction.
 
 Hopefully this shop will decide to run the same track as the Junction icon barber Joe the Barber who worked the trade for over fifty years in the Junction.
 
 

 Today the city reinstalled the traffic counting hardware for further measuring of the traffic for the week Sweet potato proposal to move into108 Vine Ave.
 
 This measurement period will take in a weekend where the first one did not.

 [TORONTO] One of the Toronto’s top emerging neighbourhoods is striking the right note with music fans across the city.
 
 
 
 The Junction BIA has announced the lineup and details for their 3rd Annual Junction Music Festival, happening September 20th on various outdoor stages and businesses across the Dundas West neighbourhood.
 
 
 
 Headliners include alt-country heroes The Sadies, Dakota Tavern mainstays The Beauties, former Forest City Lovers sweetheart Kat Burns’s new project KASHKA, local indie rock n’ rollers Teenage Kicks, the psychedelic dance music quartet from Toronto Chameleon Project, and the synthy, dreamy electronic trio that is Paradise Animals.
 
 
 
 The event features music on 5 outdoor stages, plus 30 venues, both traditional music stops and participating local businesses, from café’s to bookstores, all hosting music acts throughout the day.
 
 
 
 The bill features artists an eclectic mix of genres, from funk to metal to jazz and country, focusing largely on Junction-area talent, and interweaving other artists who have unique connections to the neighbourhood.
 
 
 
 Derek Downham of The Beauties has been hosting the weekly Junction Jam at AXIS, a local music venue, for over 10 years.
 
 
 
 “The amount of appreciation for musical talent has never ceased to amaze me. The Junction is, and always will be, a welcoming community for Toronto musicians. It’s a scene free of pretension, with a genuine small town vibe. Somehow, the scene maintains a raw yet fresh terrain.”
 
 
 
 In addition to performances, there will be music workshops and other programming, and local businesses are taking the opportunity to present music-related offerings on the day, including music-inspired menus from local eateries, and more.
 
 
 
 The event is completely free, and starts at 12pm. The outdoor programming is all-ages, while the venue programming may be subject to 19+ licensing, depending on venue.
