Bonnie Briggs memorial service on September 10th, from 2pm- 6pm at the Holy Trinity Church, 19 Trinity Square

Bonnie Briggs, a housing activist and poet who was 64, died suddenly Friday at her Parkdale home.

Bonnie worked tirelessly on homelessness and affordable housing in Parkdale and beyond. She was a member of the Parkdale Residents Association Executive for the past 2 years; along with chairing the Tiny Houses project and as a board member of the Parkdale Neighbourhood Land Trust.

Her generosity and compassion is cherished by all the people who met and worked with her.

The Passing of Parkdale Activist Bonnie Briggs

It is with a heavy heart that I share the news of the passing of Bonnie Briggs. A Parkdale resident and housing activist, she passed away in her home on Friday, August 4th, 2017.

 

A memorial service will be held on September 10th, from 2pm- 6pm at the Holy Trinity Church, 19 Trinity Square. Guests will be asked to bring a can of food and, if possible, to make a donation to the Daily Bread Food Bank.
