East of Keele St., on Dundas West, Why not?

Dundas St. W. East of Keele St, has for 40 years had difficulty regaining the momentum it had in the 60’s and 70’s.

In the area once sat the Mc Brides moter cycle and bicycle shop. The shop had one of the busiest business in the Junction.

Now a med-rise condominium is being built right in the middle of the east Junction strip. Will this structure and the homes it brings finally solve some of the strips problems? Along with new fish shop Honest Weight and a new sandwich shop, the strip could turn the corner. ( yes the pun hit me as I wrote that )

The closing the panit and decorating store, was a blow also to the east Junction strip.

Sorello is also another great business across from Honest WEIGHT. The paint store leaving wasn’t really a blow, it was empty all the time.

Thks for letting me know I incorrectly named Honest Weight, I also did not mean to not include Sorello, I inadvertently missed it as I was writing a separate post on the shop

agreed, yet the area has not reached the fullness of activation it had in the 70’s and 80’s.
