Huge transformer in special built train seen on Junction CPR tracks today

 

 

 

 

This  transformer was transferred across the Junction today on the tracks today.

The engineers running the transfer said that it was headed North of Toronto to replace one that had exploded.

About the HEPX 200

This twenty axle schnabel car was built for Ontario Hydro, by National Steel Car Limited of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, in 1973. Ontario Hydro became Hydro One in 2001. This car was placed in service in April of 1976, it is still in service.
