John Sewell on organizing and its value to you.

While this except was written about his Trefann Court efforts, it may still apply to someone out there in the Junctions who wants to enter public service to do new and needed big ideas.

Just hoping he or she is out there.

  1. A.R. says:

It’s amazing what was going on back then. Entire historic neighbourhoods were being bulldozed for housing projects like St. James Town and Regent Park. The quality of the new neighbourhoods was often questionable. City Hall encouraged it and did everything it could to please developers. John Sewell and others who came to power in the 1970s changed things rather dramatically towards development more sensitive to the traditional urban fabric of Toronto. Saving Trefann Court was a key battle for him.
