Parking Amendments – Perth AvenueCommunity Council Decision

The Toronto and East York Community Council:

 

1. Rescinded the existing parking prohibition in effect at all times on the north side of Perth Avenue, between a point 22 metres west of Sterling Road and a point 42 metres west of Sterling Road.

 

2. Rescinded the existing one-hour maximum time limit parking, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday to Friday regulation on the north side of Perth Avenue, between a point 42 metres west of Sterling Road and a point 6 metres further west.

 

3. Amended the one-hour maximum time limit parking, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday to Friday regulation on the north side of Perth Avenue, between a point 10 metres west of Sterling Road and a point 12 metres further west, to operate between a point 10 metres west of Sterling Road and a point 38 metres further west.

 

4. Rescinded the parking by permit only regulation, 12:01 a.m. to 7:00 a.m., at all times on the even side of Perth Avenue, between a point 42 metres west of Sterling Road and a point 6 metres further west.

 

5. Amended the parking by permit only regulation, 12:01 a.m. to 7:00 a.m., at all times on the even side of Perth Avenue, between a point 10 metres west of Sterling Road and a point 12 metres further west, to operate between a point 10 metres west of Sterling Road and a point 38 metres further west.

Summary

This staff report is about a matter that Community Council has delegated authority to make a final decision, provided that it is not amended so that it varies with City policy or by-laws.

 

Transportation Services is requesting approval to amend the parking regulations on the north side of Perth Avenue, west of Sterling Road. The proposed amendments will remove an outdated parking prohibition to provide additional on-street parking spaces and will not impact the traffic operations on this road.

Financial Impact

All costs associated with the installation of parking signs are included within the Transportation Services 2016 Operating Budget.
