Green 13 is pleased to announce that the evening of Tuesday, April 11, 6:45 pm Carol Mee, Manager, Healthy Public Policy, Toronto Public Health, will speak at Annette Library. Ms. Mee is the lead manager for the recent “Climate Change and Health Strategy 2016” for the City.

We’ve asked her to please speak about public health and climate change (e.g. heat waves; extreme cold; insect-borne disease such as West Nile virus, Lyme disease…), asthma, new Ward Health Profiles (Ward 13, Ward 14), and considerations around vulnerability (e.g. confidentiality). Carol Mee

Carol Mee, M.Ed, B.Sc.N, R.N. is a Manager with Toronto Public Health’s Healthy Public Policy Directorate. She has extensive experience in development of healthy public policy. This includes guiding projects in areas such as the Pesticide bylaw, the Environmental Reporting bylaw, implementation of the Air Quality Health Index in Toronto and the City of Toronto’s Environmental Plan. Her team provides leadership in engagement and knowledge exchange, including intergovernmental collaboration to advance the development and implementation of healthy public policies.
