Know Your Rights & Responsibilities: Landlord & Tenant Rights

An information session facilitated by the West Toronto Community Legal Services Staff. Learn about rent increases, maintenance, eviction, rent geared to income, and more. West Toronto Community Legal Services (WTCLS) is a non-profit community legal clinic and housing help service for low income people in Toronto’s west end.

WTCLS can help with legal matters relating to:

  • Landlord and Tenant Law

  • Social Assistance (including Ontario Works and Ontario Disability Support Program)

  • Employment Insurance

  • Workers’ Rights and

  • Consumer Law

We also prepare affidavits and can commission documents.

West Toronto Housing Help Services is one of 7 Housing Help Services in the City of Toronto. The Housing Help workers at WTCLS provide assistance with:

  • Finding safe and stable housing

  • Finding emergency shelter

  • Solving problems with existing housing

  • Applying for subsidized or supportive housing.

The community legal clinic is funded byLegal Aid Ontario. The housing help service is funded by the City of Toronto.Community Legal Advice logo
