Do you think that would stop idiots from riding on sidewalks? I regularly see bikes being ridden on sidewalks along Annette and Runnymede where there are bike lanes.

Maybe people are just more polite on bikes in Orange. I was told tickets are a certainty if found riding in sidewalks, there.

Tickets are the ONLY way they will reduce riding on sidewalks. However, this will require a license plate on bikes to ensure identity of the owner whether or not it is the rider. Otherwise it would be too time consuming for police to i.d. a rider in order to ticket them.
