As representatives of local residents, High Park Community Alliance has long argued for this kind of co-operation, BUT in a process that would include ALL parties. Instead, the City and the development companies are discussing matters in private.
HOCA reached out to the other parties asking to join the discussions. The City told us “No” and the developers have been noncommittal.
HPCA is being blocked from participating directly in the discussions of these major projects.
So, for the residents of High Park North and the Apartment Neighbourhood to
be heard, HPCA will stay on track to challenge these developments at the OMB in January.
