The site of the now demolished Subway Hotel, the Junctions most famous ghost and illegal rooming house and the Junctions most famous ghost, which was demolished around 1986 from a gas leak explosion, is now wanted to be redeveloped.
The application seeks to build application for a 5-storey residential building containing 64 dwelling units, and 32 parking spaces in one level of underground parking. The ongoing application has been in process since 2017, with this current application adding in 5 more parking spaces.

It would be great to see a mixed-use development go up on that ugly lot with retail on the ground floor. But the sidewalk really needs to be widened along on Keele Street.
Agreed the site could really contribute a lot more with more uses.
