A west-end house is expected to be demolished today after it slumped toward the home next door during repairs to its foundation.
Workers had been strengthening the foundation of the detached home on Maria St., near Runnymede Rd. and Dundas St. W., when it shifted precariously on Wednesday, threatening to collapse.
Neighbouring homes were evacuated on the quiet street, where the damaged house sits across from a historic synagogue.

        Maria in the area of the 200 house numbers is flow-able sand under the foundations, mkaybe it was on this lot also.
