JUNCTION FARMERS’ MARKET
CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS!
The Junction Farmers’ Market is set to start on June 2nd, 2012!
It will run through the summer and early fall in the the Green P lot at Dundas St. and Pacific Ave. (Medland entrance) every Saturday morning, 9:00-12:00.
The Junction Farmers’ Market aims to provide local, sustainably produced fresh foods in ways that build community, support local farmers and businesses, and promote access to healthy food for all.
Are you passionate about the Junction community and local sustainable food? Would you like to be part of this exciting new community event?
The market committee is seeking volunteers to assist with the following duties:
a) SET UP early in the morning (6am) to block the parking lot and make sure everything is ready for the farmers
b) CLEAN UP at the end of the day, since the parking lot has to be spotless and ready to use by regular patrons by 1pm
c) OTHER duties which will include postering, greeting shoppers, tending to farmers and vendors, organizing a weekly raffle for a basket of market goods, etc.
