That’s why the Junction Residents Association is excited to launch our latest project called, ‘Design Your Main Street.’ This project will capture your vision of our neighbourhood starting with a survey to get your input and culminate with an official area study to help guide City Planners and Developers.
It might surprise you to know that the City has paid for area studies to be completed in Parkdale, Roncesvalles and Bloor West Village but in 2020 the City turned down our request to fund a study in the Junction due to lack of budget. In lieu of a City paid study, ‘Design Your Main Street’ will provide a platform for the community to have a voice, given the emerging pressures in the Junction and the impending changes to the physical landscape.
Our community continues to grow and undergo change which can be good for a community like ours, but our streets and local infrastructure need to adapt too, don’t you think?
