On June 12 2012 a senior vice president of Maple Leaf Consumer Foods, fresh meats division wrote the landlord for the Ryding Ave building, Palette International Corporation that they would be vacating the property no later than 2022. Maple Leaf is building a new poultry processing plant in London, Ontario that is scheduled to be completed in late 2022, which may effect the future of the 100 Ethel Ave and Ryding Ave sites currently used by the company in the Junction.
The Ryding Ave site site is under a conversion request by the property owners to convert from Core Employment Areas to Mixed Use Areas.
Below are photos of Maple Leafs other site next to the Ryding Rd site which is is 100 Ethel Ave. This site is a large chicken processing site.

Good riddance. Locals have to endure their transport trucks illegally driving on their residential streets and idling all night.
