2300 Dundas St. W. a 8 story residential building will result in laneway widening!

Ostensibly to facilitate the entry of vehicle parking entry into the new building, a widening the lane way just north of Dundas St. West

From a developer filing… development will consist of an 8-storey residential building, with at grade retail and one  level of underground parking. Vehicular access will be off the Public Lane along the north limit of the site. A 1.67 m width from the north property line along the Public Lane will be dedicated to the municipality for a Lane widening.

With regards to access, as previously noted, the original submission provided vehicular and solid waste access from Dundas Street West via a 7.5 metre curb cut abutting the west property line. The application has been revised to provide access from the rear lane with a Type G loading space and ramp to underground parking located on the northwest corner of the subject site, which was reconfigured to accommodate the turning movements of a solid waste truck to the City’s standards. As a result of this move, the proposal will introduce a consistent street wall and public realm along Dundas Street West.
