The public space located at the intersection of Dundas St. West and Clendenan Avenue was the result of a significant community endeavor involving Bill Saundercook and his aid, who served as the city councillor at that time. The objective was to transform a Y-shaped section of roadway stretching from St. Johns Rd to Dundas St. W into a communal area.
Community members dedicated months to collaborate on designing and planning this space. The envisioned design included plant-covered rocks and a gazebo.
However, the condition of this once well-maintained area, which serves as the only park-like haven at the Junction intersection, has deteriorated. It has become overgrown, unclean, and lacking proper maintenance.
