The holiday train features bright Christmas lights and decorations. The event raises money and food for food banks across Canada and the United States. CPKC donates to the local food bank at each stop.
Each year, there’s a free holiday concert held at each stop at the Junction stop this year the performers will be Jade Eagleson and Teigen Gayse,
A typical Holiday Train event involves the train arriving, stopping in front of the crowd, and lowering its stage door for a band performance. There’s a brief presentation with local food bank officials, followed by the band playing holiday and original songs. After the final song, the train moves on to the next stop.
