Ground surface removal is occurring at the old cadet clothes cleaning plant. Two years ago much of the internal machinery and contaminated materials inside were removed.
The work is concentrated in the rear of the building to the east to old steam building.

Does anyone know what the plan is for this plant?
The councillor suggested public housing at one point. It seems like a bad idea with Pelham Park already nearby. I have nothing against public housing, but high concentrations of it in a single area haven't proved successful in the past in Toronto.
What ever happen to the lofts/condos that were going in there? I would love to see that project return.
