Salvationists West Toronto brass band

Salvationists West Toronto brass band Had Busy Day The West Toronto branch of the Salvation Army had a busy day yesterday. Early in the morning they assembled in strong force and proceeded in three sections – the soldiers, in charge of Corps Sergt.-Maj. J. Luxton; the Boy Scouts, under Lieut. W. S. Shields and the Girl Guards, with Guard Leader E. Cook in command – Queen’s Park, where they took part in the big Salvation Army parade to Massey Hall. The West Toronto brass band under the leadership of Bandmaster Richards, acted as staff band for the occasion and headed the procession, and the bugle band was also present. At 5 o’clock the local branch returned to their Keele street citadel and partook of supper in the newly-erected hall. The end of a perfect day came with the holding of a lantern service in the evening, at which Capt. Leech presided.
