The Flamingo Banquet Hall located at 3278 Dundas St. W. in Toronto had history of hosting a variety of events and gatherings many years, even when there was was little foot traffic and no night life in the Junction. Santa Cuda, owner of the Flamingo Banquet Hall was involved in removing the dry no dinking in the Junction. Campaigning as ‘Working for Equal Treatment’ (W.E.T.), were able to convince people that the sale of alcohol would lead to the rejuvenation of the neighbourhood.
