611 Keele, 31-storey mixed use building (St Clair W. and Keele St.) will really change the area

 

On July 27, 2020, the application for the now vacant land at 611 Keele St. at St. Clair Avenue was amended to request allowance to build a large residential building with retail at street level. This application follows earlier applications in 2019, 2020, and 2021. One of the past requests was to develop a self-storage building on the site. The current application is to build a large residential building. Below, starting with the 2019 application details through to the 2022 application details, you will find a list of all the recent applications. 2019, application Proposal for a 5-storey self-storage facility with 67.4 square metres of retail proposed at-grade at the corner of St. Clair Avenue and Keele Street. The building would have a gross floor area of 8228.9 square metres with 8 parking spaces provided within the building, accessed from Keele Street.

2021 application, To construct a new self-storage facility.

 

2022 application, Proposed Development for a 31-storey mixed use building comprised of 670 square metres of retail space on the ground floor, 1,371 square metres of office space on the third floor, and 352 residential units. The Proposed Development includes two level of underground parking with all vehicular and loading access to the Site from Keele Street. Indoor and outdoor common amenity spaces are located on the second and thirteenth floors, on the west and the south sides of the building respectively.
