Ride the Future – Personal Electric Vehicles
Test and get info about electric bicycles and kick-scooters
Rennie Park, Runnymede RdHave you wanted to try out an E-bike or scooter but haven’t known where to go? Want to connect with others in the community who are interested in electric bikes and scooters?
Come along to our event in Rennie Park!
Supported by Epic Cycles, Movin and Segway of Ontario. Hosted by PHP4 Climate Action, Green 13 and the Green Neighbours Network of Toronto (GNN). This is a great opportunity to try out e-bikes and scooters.
Experience why these inexpensive personal electric vehicles (PEVs) are so important! They help us get off fossil fuel, ditch traffic and car-parking for neighbourhood chores or longer trips (improving neighbourhood commerce), get us into the park system for some mental health breaks…and lots more. PEVs are especially great for people who are challenged by the physical demands of standard bikes or can’t use them for long periods of time OR are looking to avoid public transportation and/or the costs of car usage (PEVs typically can be used for 7-9 months of the year, sometimes more).
Epic Cycles will bring a variety of electric bicycles from its store in the Junction and Segway Ontario will bring the Ninebot scooters from its store in the Distillery District.
